We are pleased to announce that Curfex Japan K.K. has officially renamed to Fukugu K.K., effective March 2026.
The name change reflects the natural evolution of our business. Since our founding in 2017, we have grown from a focused fund transfer operator into a broader payment infrastructure platform — processing over ¥89.7 billion in payments, serving 400+ corporate clients, and expanding our product offering to include enterprise payment rails, virtual account-based collection, and Fukupochi, our consumer payment service.
The new name, Fukugu, better represents what we have become: a licensed, infrastructure-first company building the payment rails that businesses and individuals in Japan — and connecting to the world — rely on.
Our regulatory status remains unchanged. Fukugu K.K. continues to operate under the Type 2 Fund Transfer Service Provider licence issued by the Kanto Local Finance Bureau, and remains a member of the Japan Payment Service Association (JPSA) and the Fintech Association of Japan (FAJ).
